CEP designs and manufactures over 250 different configurations
of flow controls and spool valves for aerospace and industrial
applications. CEP flow controls utilize a spool/sleeve configuration
as the primary moving element. Variations in the spool inlet
and diametrical clearances are determined based on customer
requirements. Typical flow controls maintain a flow tolerance
of ± 5% over a wide range of pressures and temperatures.
Tolerances as fine as ± 2% are available.
While the flow controls and spool valves share certain design
elements, their function is somewhat different. CEP spool valves
can be pilot operated or direct acting. Typical configurations
include 2 position 3 way (opened or closed center), spring bias,
solenoid activated, or any number of alternatives to meet the
customer requirements. The listings below show only a small
number of sizes and configurations of flow controls and spool
