| Canyon Engineering Products operates a
state of the art 70,000 Square foot facility located in
Valencia, California, approximately 45 minutes North of
Los Angeles. The plant consists of two separate manufacturing
and testing areas for our Aerospace and Industrial product
lines. CEP also maintains a dedicated machine shop and
Engineering test lab for product development and prototype
manufacturing. In order to ensure the highest quality
and delivery standards, CEP manufactures over 90% of its
products on site. |

Machine Shop Capabilities
Turning Centers
The majority of parts that we manufacture consist of small
to medium components, typically 1/2 to 3 inches in diameter.
Typical turning tolerances are within 0.0002 inches accuracy.
Our largest turning centers can accommodate raw materials
up to 8 inches in diameter and 21 inches in length. Many
of our turning centers are equipped with mill heads and
automated bar feeders.
Milling Centers
Typical milled components are less than 8 inches per side,
and consist of multiple ports and cross drilled features.
Typical tolerances are within 0.0005 to 0.002 inches true
position. Our largest mills can accommodate raw materials
up to 40 inches long by 20 inches wide, by 20 inches tall. |

Prototype Machine Shop
The prototype machine shop consists of a mixture of CNC and
manual machines. This area of the manufacturing floor is designed
to provide our Prototype machinists and Engineers with the ability
to make rapid changes to prototype hardware and test fixtures.
Test Lab
Canyon Engineering Products conducts 100% testing of its products.
Our test equipment has been designed to meet the fluid, pressure
and flow requirements of the latest commercial and military
aircraft. Currently we have the capacity to test up to 5 Gallons
Per Minute at 8000 PSI and 45 Gallons Per Minute at 5000 PSI
with HIL-H-83282, and up to 30 Gallons Per Minute at 5000 PSI
with Skydrol LD4. Our largest test benches are equipped with
hydrostatic pumps for proof and burst pressure testing up to
15,000 PSI. Because the use of our components is not limited
to hydraulic systems, CEP has designed and built test equipment
for fuel (MIL-PRF-7024, Diesel oil) and Lubrication oil (MIL-L-23699)
applications. Our largest fuel test stand is rated at 11 Gallons
Per Minute at 1500 PSI, and our largest lubrication oil test
stand is rated at 40 Gallons Per Minute at 1000 PSI with a temperature
control of 80° to 400° F. |

In addition to the equipment above, CEP has a variety of other
testing capabilities including air, Nitrogen, PAO, and Ethylene
Glycol. We have several mobile test stands for various products,
and we have developed one of a kind semi-automated test centers
for our high rate production industrial products. Once the parts
have been assembled and tested, they are marked using a variety
of methods including the latest in 2D matrix Laser marking technology.
All of this equipment is complimented with a wide range of gages
and meters, each of which is calibrated to NIST standards at
regular intervals.
